The nickname for this part of the district has historically madrileño center: this is the area where the dynasty of the Habsburgs think of a historic town which they chose as the capital of Spain.
Buildings recall the Spanish imperial era, when the Habsburg empire that ran from going beyond the Netherlands to America.
Occupying official quarters of the district center and Sun Palace, Los Austrias extends from Sol Mayor and traveling to Arenal and La Latina Plaza de Oriente. The way to start the tour is to walk the few meters separating the Puerta del Sol Plaza Mayor. This square is the heart of the Hapsburgs and has a side street that leads to Bailén and Almudena - Plaza de Oriente - Palacio Real. On the other hand we have the America with its nightlife.
